Caught In A Nightmarish Hell

Laurie is a woman who falls prisoner to a Middle Eastern man named Sahir. Not only does he subject Laurie to extreme physical and mental abuse, but he also manipulates the loopholes in the justice system to get away with his evil schemes. Sahir will stop at nothing to keep his grasp on Laurie. He even goes as far as committing an unspeakable act involving his own children. As a result, Laurie is left feeling helpless to the point of wanting to die. All she can do is hold on to the small hope that there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

I ran a hot tub to try to calm myself, but I only lay there in the water thinking just how much I wanted my life to end. I begged God to take me away from all the misery I was going through. There were other times in my life when I thought I hit rock bottom, but that night was surely the lowest I ever felt. I cried so hard and kept asking God, "Why? I can't take it anymore! How can Sahir keep getting away with all the cruel and evil things he does? Please take me! I don't want to live anymore!"
