Enter a world where magic thrives but is certainly not accepted. The humans, who live in great prosperity, have forced out the magical creatures from their lands where they are pitted against one another. Sahara, a girl born of magic, despises humans for their selfish ways, though she is not fond of magic either. Her great power causes the mortals to reject her while it draws in the creatures of magic, neither of which accepting her for who she truly is. When she finds herself forced to team up with a group of humans, Sahara struggles to harness a power not learned with swords or techniques, but by putting her differences aside and learning to trust herself and others as well: The power of friendship.

This is my introduction. This is my story. Well…part of it. But there are just some things that don’t need explanation, just as there are some things that need to be told. Why am I telling you my story? Because there are also some things that don’t need to be repeated. Don’t let this fool you, my dear reader, for there are some things I learned that have helped me, and maybe you can learn from as well. My most valuable lesson I wish I had learned earlier is perhaps one you may already know now: There will always be some things that can knock you down, but there is always some one who can pick you right back up.

About Montana Hintermann
Montana G. Hintermann grew up in a small retirement area of Aiken, South Carolina. Until her 8th grade year, she hated to read and despised writing, though she always loved to daydream. Within that summer, she decided to try something new and discovered a whole other world open to her with just the swing of a pen.
She wrote her first book at the age of 14 within a week, her second, "Sahara's Tears," in a few months at the age of 15, and published both of them at 16. Still, she refuses to stop here. "My views are unlike any other, and so are my worlds," she says. "With just the first few words of any of these books, you have stepped out of your world and into my own. Enjoy and try not to get too lost."
