Jimmy got up and ran across the street where he found an empty bottle on the side of the road. He picked it up and slammed it to the ground. The noise from the broken glass caused a group of women to turn, giving Jimmy a disgusted look. Jimmy grabbed the glass and ran back to Michael. "To our friendship" Jimmy cut shimself on the arm, tears welled up in his eyes. Michael grabbed the same piece of glass. Clasped his lips together and cut his arm in the exact place that Jimmy did. Rick is a true American story teller always hoping his characters and story lines will touch and change each of us, letting us know that through our emotional experiences we are all connected. Rick was born and raised in Southern California. After attending Chico State University, studying Psychology, Rick was hired as a East Coast Sales representative, establishing and maintaining a territory from Vermont to Florida. This early experience allowed Rick to understand the likeness of people, sharing and learning new experiences that were common to each of us. It was during this time period that Rick had the privilege to meet the Lore family, as they shared their stories, motivating Rick to write this novel. Rick is married and has four children.
