Ever since her father's death, family, work and school have been the most important things in Brandy's life. Falling in love doesn't figure in the picture at all. That is until she meets Will. Handsome, wealthy, funny and down to Earth, he's everything she's always wanted in a man and nothing she ever thought she'd have. With Will's love, Brandy believes anything is possible. It's at the height of their happiness that their love and her beliefs are put to the toughest test of all. Can their love triumph when the unthinkable happens, or will they be torn apart forever?

“Brandy, please wait!” Will called from behind her. “Please talk to me!”
“I don’t want to talk to you,” Brandy said without stopping or even turning around.
Will ran to catch up to her. “Please, let me explain.”
“There’s nothing to explain,” Brandy snapped.
“I wanted to tell you.”

“Then you should’ve told me.”
“I was scared, Brandy.”
“I’m not buying that excuse this time.”
“It’s not an excuse. It’s the truth, whether you believe me or not.”
“How am I supposed to know what the truth is? I don’t think you even know what the truth is.”
“I know I love you.”
“No, you don’t. If you loved me, you would’ve told me from the beginning.”
“You’re right, but I didn’t want to tell you the truth because I didn’t want it to be the truth. Can you understand that, Brandy?”
“All I understand is that you lied to me!”
“Please come back to my apartment with me so we can talk about this in private.”
“So you can snow me with a bunch of garbage about how bad it was for the poor little rich boy?” Brandy demanded. “No thanks, I’d rather go home.”
“At least let me drive you home,” Will finally conceded defeat.
“Fine, drive me home,” Brandy said as she turned and walked back to his car.
Will hurried to open the passenger door for her, but the gesture was empty as far as she was concerned.
