Songwriter Justin Locke has all the talent to make it big, yet can't seem to catch a break until a mysterious angel waltzes into his life, in a notorious mountain saloon in Evergreen, Colorado. When powerful Denver music critic Zak Ballantine tries to destroy Justin's blossoming career, a turbulent chain of events is unleashed. Driven by his passion for music, Justin risks losing the love of his life, his friends, and even his amazing band-on a wild, treacherous journey to the top of Music Mountain.

Up above timberline, Justin J. Locke-cowboy poet, cashew junkie, and wild jeep rider-sat huddled beneath a granite outcropping near Tin Cup. The bitter cold was numbing, not far above zero. He'd climbed between eleven and twelve thousand feet before parking his weariness. Luckily, no wind blew on the mountain. The dark pine forest below stood silent and the sky was bright with stars. Moonlight lit up the snow caps, giving a heavenly glow to God's silent playground. Gnarled gray branches of dead wood lay scattered on the mountainside, like the bleached bones of ancient giants. The silence was amazing!
