The ancestry roots of Evangelist Mitchell S. Metzger lie deep in the Schwaben Barbarian Tribes of Germany, a stubborn group of tough warriors that caused the legions of Julius Caesar no end of harassment and trouble! With this type of heritage, it makes the destiny and calling of Metzger in the 21st Century even more significant: To harass and trouble the "legions of hell" through seeing the Kingdom of God, through Jesus Christ, established on Earth.
Offering over two decades of Christian evangelistic, open-air, public preaching and free speech experience in 15 countries and 50 States, including serving with Honor in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mitch will both challenge and equip you in fulfilling God's purposes through your life!
After five years in the writing, Mitch's book is a direct punch in the jaw of modern-day wimpy evangelism! You cannot read this book and still be convinced that "Open-Air Public Preaching" is just not used or does not work anymore today! Every excuse you've ever had to NOT PREACH OUTDOORS OPENLY IN PUBLIC is annihilated through the use of Scripture, History, and Personal Experience.

BACKSLIDERS ARE IN TROUBLE!
That is why “backsliders” cannot be saved. They have no repentance and no faith, no forgiveness, and no relationship; and without RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST they are in BIG TROUBLE! That is why the Calvinists’ “Once Saved, Always Saved” (OSAS) Doctrine is SO DANGEROUS! Ask your pastor sometime if he considers himself to be a Calvinist. You might be surprised with what you might find out!
ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED?
I remember working with a Marine in 1988, which came from a certain protestant church all of his life. He would always use foul language, had his share of girlfriends, and many times would slide into the barracks late at night drunk. He said to me once while we were standing in a shop, “Isn’t it great to know that we’re saved and secure, Mitch?” I was so disappointed with his comment! He was convinced he was going to heaven; and worse, he thought we were “brothers”! I actually knew many guys like this.
Someone taught him all of his life that “Once you are saved, you are always saved” and he brought this idea with him into the military and wrought NO FEAR OF THE LORD IN HIS LIFE! He loved sin nearly as much as the other guys in the shop!
For those interested to learn more about assurance of salvation, The Believer’s Conditional Security by Dan Corner is a must-read-book. It references over 758 pages on the study on perseverance and falling away .
BELIEVING IS A VERB
dc TALK, a Christian rock band, recorded a song entitled, “Love is a Verb .” Well, just as “Love is a verb,” the word, “Believe” is also a verb; and we all know what a verb is? A verb is an action word.
DRIVE-THRU CAR WASH
I love the word, “BELIEVE.” It has so much “meat” in it. I have often described the word, like an automatic, drive-thru car wash in the USA. As we have these car washes you put your coins in and then you drive into the garage and your car immediately begins to be washed automatically– AS LONG AS YOU KEEP PASSING THROUGH TO THE OTHER END! If you don’t keep moving through the wash, your car will cease to be soaked, rinsed, soaped, waxed, rinsed again and air-dried at the end before going out. It’s just like the word, “BELIEVE.” If you don’t keep believing, you are not going to get washed, rinsed and dried (saved).
WALKING IN THE LIGHT
Look at this verse in 1 John 1:7: “But if (‘if’ indicates a condition) we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
If you really want the “blood of Jesus” to wash you from all sin so you can have “fellowship with God,” you are going to have to “walk in the light.” In other words, you better keep moving through the car wash!
