Published Author
For Jeremy, a high school senior growing up near Seattle, there are five seasons: rainy season, dry Season, football season, basketball season, and baseball season. Jeremy’s world has always revolved around his father and sports. Now there is a new Heavenly body in town, whose gravity is pulling Jeremy away from the orbit around his dad. Maria, the new girl in town, is on a mission to make her voice heard in the debate of the theory that man evolved from lower life forms. Jeremy’s father adamantly believes in Charles Darwin’s theory. Who will win the tug of war over Jeremy’s heart and mind, as Jeremy evolves from a boy into a man?

I have created a new genre with this work, perhaps. I call it Christian faction. It combines romance and humor with a cerebral search for truth. It does not pull any punches. It names real people on both sides of the Evolution debate and combines most of the intelligent design/creationism arguments in one central location. This book is not for those who are not prepared for an intelligent challenge or a spiritual gutcheck.

About Donald James Parker

Donald James Parker is a 1968 graduate of Madison High School in Madison, South Dakota. He completed a Bachelors degree in secondary education from Dakota State University (also in Madison) with majors in English and History and a minor in physical education. He spent several years teaching secondary English and social studies and coaching basketball. He dreams of becoming a writer came true in a manner he never foresaw. Instead of writing the great American novel, he started writing computer programs. Over a 25 year career in data processing, Don has worked for some marquee companies in the Pacific Northwest, where he now resides. He spent 12 years at Frank Russell in Tacoma, author of the Russell 2000 Index found in the financials.. PACCAR, maker of Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks was his home for Almost 8 years. He also spent a short stint at Microsoft as a contractor. The dream to create edifying works of literature arose again (mid life crisis maybe) and as a result, after almost 40 years, he can call himself a writer.
