COSA NOSTRA is a completed 40,855 word drama set in Sicily and New York. This story is targeted for the Godfather, Casino, Last Don, & Goodfellas desire line.

Don Vinny Gambetta had it all, a son he’s very proud about, a beautiful wife, he’s the Don of the most powerful family in New York and he commanded respect from everyone no matter where he is. The problem is his deeds when he was a young Don came to re-visit him. Don Gambetta had met his wife Elena back in Sicily at a young age, and he intended to marry her and it would have been a match made in heaven, a Don in Sicily marrying another Don’s daughter. Only that Elena’s father is Don Ambolinni the same man that claimed Don Gambetta family’s life when he was a kid.

Don Gambetta learned of what his future father-in-law did and against advise he went ahead and married Elena, but not before returning a favor to Don Ambolinni on their wedding day. It was a secret that Don Gambetta made all his soldiers and capos promise will go to the graves with them. Many years later in excitement of celebrating the birth of his new grandson with his son Valentino, Don Gambetta reveals to Valentino what have been hunting him. As fate will have it Elena overhead of how Don Gambetta her husband was responsible for the massacre of her whole family. Elena’s action is the building bricks of the script.

Men have always been measured by their status, wealth, and who they dine with, but the Gambettas have always been measured by the contents of their character, I am proud to be called a Gambetta.

About Owen Ikedilo

Owen Ikedilo is a student of the human condition, wielding the written craft to enrapture the mind much like an artist wields a brush. The pages are a blank canvas on which to draw from a talent heralded by many and matched only by an imagination that rises to the task. Cosa Nostra is the first in a series of recent pursuits, with work progressing quickly on the follow-up.
