What happened to Jesus from the time he was crucified until his disciples saw him again? Where was Mary, his mother? What happened to Peter after his denial?

The Road To Phyrgia deals with the three day period between Jesus’ crucifixion on Friday and his resurrection on Sunday. It is an interpretative story that follows the actions and mindsets of Jesus, his mother Mary, Peter and other of the disciples during this most incredible time.

Read this exciting interpretation of these events and more in The Road To Phrygia.

The wind rose up now across the shallow valley, swirling, pushing the soft gray mist into his face and he strained to see the tiny figures on the other side. He pulled at the corner of his hood looking for a dry spot but found everything moist, the mist forming a dewy covering and mixing with the stains of his sweat. His eyes stung, desperate for relief, and yet he could not turn their attention away from the scene below. Squinting, he could make out their forms, only a few left, huddled, the last of the soldiers trudging away from them down the narrow slope. He saw her clearly now, her streaked gray hair, kneeling in the dirt, brushing, smoothing, grasping the hand, raising it to her cheek. After a long moment she rose to her feet, James at her elbow and Mary Magdalene with her hand. They stood linked and slowly turned to watch as three of the men carefully lifted the shrouded body. After a few brief words the men began trailing Joseph down the hill. Then they followed, the last to leave.
