The trouble with born again Christians is that they are an even bigger pain the second time around. Herb Caen

Now, as I understand it, no one has ever seen God. No living soul [including Moses, who, from all accounts I’ve read, conversed with a "burning bush"] during Biblical times or down through the historical ages of man on this earth, has ever come face to face with God. And, as I have written in the first chapter, no one really knows where God came from? There are infinitely more questions than answers. For instance, Just how many God’s are there? Oh, I know what the Bible say’s - one God. “Thou shalt have no God’s before me!” Jesus put it more distinctly, “Only through me does one see my Father,” or something like that. But you must remember this, even Jesus had his doubts. Was the God who cast out Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, the same God who murdered [yes, murdered] all humans except Noah and his family in the great Flood? The same God who allowed his only son to suffer excruciating pain and degradation, and the horrible humiliation of death on the cross? None of these questions have ever been answered to my limited knowledge. And I say limited knowledge because; the Bible itself is a book of "limited knowledge." And before you get the idea that I’m an atheist, let me point out again, that God did NOT write the Bible. MEN wrote the Bible. The same men, supposedly, that God anointed to rule on earth. But this God did not have too much faith in humankind. He certainly was not happy with his creations, Adam and Eve. He found only one man, Noah, worthy of His blessings before unleashing the terrible flood that killed all living things on earth (the exceptions of course were Noah’s wife, his sons and their wives, and Noah, I suspect, had to plead with the Almighty to spare their lives also.

About George Clark

GEORGE CLARK is a student of the human condition, wielding the written craft to enrapture the mind much like an artist wields a brush. The pages are a blank canvas on which to draw from a talent heralded by many and matched only by an imagination that rises to the task. The BIBLE - REVISITED is the first in a series of recent pursuits, with work progressing quickly on the follow-up.
