What can one man do to save a doomed marriage and spare their children the agonies of growing up as orphans in a society that offers no help or hope-100 years after the family's demise? This is the dilemma faced by Patrick Matthews, a young man in 1997, experiencing the agony of separation by nearly a century of time. Can he solve the dilemma? Allow the solution to unfold before your eyes as you read The Dream.

I felt mysteriously drawn to the house at 327 Chauncey Street. I was paralyzed and totally helpless as I witnessed the maniacal man pull a pistol out of nowhere, point and fire it at his wife, killing her instantly.
Is this what a person feels like when they are dying? I did not want to resist. I was comfortable - peaceful.
An eerie mist started rolling into my bedroom. I heard a very faint noise. At first, it sounded like a breeze blowing through barren trees. As I listened more intently, the sound slowly grew more distinct, more intense.
Tears were flowing out of my eyes and dropping to the floor. John did not answer. He turned and walked out the door, and our love, for all that it could have been, died.
