Not until she failed to appear as a scheduled guest on a talk show in Chicago did more individuals become concerned. This show was especially important to her because she planned to donate a quarter of a million dollars to a well-known foundation for sick children, and she was very eager about it. After speaking to Moravec regarding Ismay’s disappearance, the manager, the show producer, and the talk show host all became suspicious and contacted the authorities to report Ismay missing. Throughout the investigation Ismay’s family, friends, and other associates were questioned by detectives. No one had much to say other than agreeing on when she dropped out of sight.
Speaking to the media, Bryan stated, “There is not a violent bone in my mother’s body. She is so mild tempered, sweet and gentle to me and my little brother.”
“She hated violence,” Coje said. “At first she didn’t even want me to join the football team, because she was afraid I’d get hurt or hurt someone. When we were younger, spanking us was her last resort and she would apologize afterwards because she felt so bad.”
Daniel told the reporters, “My ex-wife had her problems, but I’ve never known her to do any serious bodily harm to anyone throughout our marriage. It’s hard for me to believe that she actually committed this crime.”
The fact is, is that everyone who knew me personally could not believe I would ever perpetrate such a deplorable crime. But people, including Coje and Bryan, did not get a chance to become well acquainted with Tiffany Williams, who was introduced to me while the children were ages eight and twelve. My sons only knew me, Roxanne Mitchell. But Tiffany, the obsessive compulsive part of Roxanne, showed signs of violent tendencies and had psychopathic behavior patterns that started out small but escalated as time progressed.
