Life, as we are taught, is supposed to be textbook perfect—do well in school, make lots of friends, fall in love, plan a life. For some this is easily accomplished, for others the task is far more challenging, far more painful, and far more daunting.
That Which Does Not Kill Us Makes Us Stronger follows the real-life story of one woman’s journey through marriage, motherhood, and the challenge to create a joyful life. When her desire to have a child remains unfulfilled, it leads to the adoption of a baby boy and the realization of a lifelong dream. Then, at the age of four, her beloved son, is diagnosed with a rare eye disorder that often leads to blindness. Caught in a bubble of overwhelming anxiety, she must now face not only her child’s fears and her fears for her child’s future, but deal with her own increasing health problems.
Life comes with many surprises, some are joyful, some quite painful. Throughout our lives we are often tested; tested for endurance and strength, That Which Does Not Kill Us Makes Us Stronger, is a journey through life, with ups, downs, blessings, joys and deep sadness.
