Maricela Aguilar and her son Alex are natives of Dallas. She is a community leader who takes the initiative in issues and causes which positively impact Latinos. He is a young Latino leader in the making. She credits her family for her civic involvement.

Alex Alaniz is currently an executive manager for a large corporation in Chicago, Illinois. Alex received his Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University.

Elena Alaniz is currently a bilingual teacher in Aurora, Illinois. She enjoys giving back to her community by teaching and assuring young Latino students that they can succeed.

Alicia Maria Alvarez is a community activitist, orguillosa mujer Latina Americana, native of Illinois, transplanted to Texas for twenty-two years, where her heart remains to this day!

Milena Canal's greatest blessing is being the mother of two beautiful children. She is a realtor who resides in Houston, Texas.

E. B. Castro Jr., is a gifted florist and businessman. His store, The Rose Shop, has provided San Antonio with unparalleled beauty and service for over seventy-five years.

Ellen Castro is a best-selling author. She holds an Ed.M from Harvard and an MBA from SMU where she currently serves on the faculty of the Business Leadership Center. In addition to Ellen's writings, speaking, teaching and consulting, she is a realtor.

Eloise Castro is a native and resident of San Antonio. She is the office manager for the prestigious Rose Shop. Eloise has a talented son, Allen. Her other joy is "Max," a charismatic Pekinese.

Raoul Lowery Contreras is one of the longest published Hispanic essayist and Op-Ed writers in the USA. He has been published weekly since 1988. Over 1,000 articles and four books have been written by Contreras. A native of Mexico City, he lives in San Diego, California.

Lupe A. Davila is a veteran realtor in The Woodlands, Texas, in partnership with her husband Roger. Roger and Lupe have two grown children and are the grandparents of two grandsons who reside in Boston.

Roxanne Del Rio has pursued a twenty-year career in management education, recruiting worldwide. Her interests focus on educational issues in socially diverse societies. She has championed Hispanic advancement at a boardroom level as well as through grass-roots initiatives.

Sylvia Fuentes received her Doctorate in Adult Continuing Education. She is currently the Director of the Latino Resource Center at Northern Illinois University.

Alma Garcia lives in Oakland, California, with her daughter Juana. A graduate of Mills College, she is currently the Library Systems Administrator for the F.W. Olin Library.

Enriqueta Garrett was born in La Habana, Cuba. She immigrated to the US at age twelve. She is a Dallas' Adamson high school graduate with a BBA from UTA. She is also the proud mother of William Tomas Garrett.

Gilda Garza is the first Hispanic female elected to the McKinney, Texas city council, She is also a charter member of The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), revitalized Council #608 (first female president, 2001).

Minerva Gorena, Ed.D., is senior advisor to the National Clearinghouse for English Language Acquisition (NCELA) at The George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Veronica Guajardo, is a writer and musician that lives in the barrio of Southside Modesto, California's Central Valley. She is part of the Rudo Revolutionary Front (as Kika Ruda), a collective of poets, actors, musicians and hip-hop artists.

Alida Hernandez has thirty-eight years of professional experience in meeting the employment needs of individuals and businesses. She also worked for over thirty years with community-oriented non-profits, utilizing her expertise in providing leadership in fundraising efforts.

Rita Urias Mendoza is from a Southern California farm labor family. Rita and her late husband, Modesto, raised five children in Oxnard, California where she resides.

Maria R. Palacios is a poet, activist, performer and Polio survivor who uses poetry to inspire and empower women. Maria R. Palacios is the founder of Atahualpa Press and author of a book of poems, The Female King, an inspirational collection of prose and poetry, such as Karate on Wheels, A Journey of Self Discovery.

Teresa Perez has held positions in school and work as news editor and/or writer for internal publications. She holds degrees from the University of Texas in Austin and Texas State University. She is a member of the Hispanic Women's Network of Texas and National Society of Hispanic MBAs.

Eva Rangel is the manager for the Nueva Vida Transitional Supportive Counseling Program of Women Together/Mujeres Unidas. She is one of the founders of the Latina Task Force of The Texas Council on Family.

Eddie Reyes is a disabled Vietnam Veteran, a former Dallas Police Officer, a successful entrepreneur and has adopted four teenage Hispanic young ladies at the same time.

Josie B. Vasquez is a second generation Texan, the sixthin a family of nine children. She's currently a consultant specializing in workplace discrimination issues.

Maria Reyes Velasco is a firm believer in "ancestral memory." Her pen name is "la michicana" which comes from Los Mechicas, Michigan & Chicana. Honoring her ancestors and listening to her "singing heart" inspires her.
