Book Details

She was a daughter that her father never wanted.

Gracie had lived her life with her father under the same roof, without ever being touched by his hand, nor has he ever spoken her name. As she grew into a young woman, her life started changing right before her eye’s, almost to the point that she couldn’t recognize the way she use to be. Meeting the love of her life caused her to flashback onto her childhood, and she then and only then realized that she had grown up to be just like her father. “The apple didn’t fall too far from the tree, did it father!” she screamed.

About the Author

Marsha Blackburn

This story is set back in the early 1900s and fell parallel to my own life as a child. Of course I was not born back then, but, living without running water, toilet facilities, and remembering many, many birthday cakes made from a flour, sugar, and water, brings back memories for me. My book is written in Fiction, but there are true events in the mix. I have a wonderful husband of thirty-five years, Three biological children, two adopted sons, and six awesome grandchildren. And I have fostered over six hundred needy children, with pleasure. I have lived in many states in this country, but always fell back to my hometown here in Mingo county West Virginia.
