Book Details

Abolitionist crusader, local historian, poet and most importantly, a man of God.

George William Lloyd was a man who held steadfast in his beliefs of freedom, the Union and the word of God. Although nearly forgotten today, this 19th century man comes to life as a titanic figure who traveled through the turbulent years of the Civil War and beyond. Lloyd emerges not only through the times in which he lived, but also through his personal writings that have been miraculously preserved for over 100 years.
