Two crazy ’70s girls met and befriended during the era of peace and love. Their longtime friendship blossomed into a “Forever Friendship” of 35 years. Through the years, good and bad times never altered the calls and laughter shared by these two friends. The signs of the year prior to 2005 drew these friends close together. Can the signs really tell what is coming? Many a visit involved a trip to Northern Michigan and a visit to West Branch. Always having a good breakfast or fish dinner at Sandy’s Restaurant. Sandy was the owner of this pink, small town, family restaurant. One day in September of 2005 all would change forever, for her many friends, customers and family. This is her story and her final fight for life as told by her “Forever Best Friend” Kathy. The journal of hope is to honor my friend and give praise to my God. Through life and death friends remain always with us in spirit and prayers, sending signs to keep us close.
