We will e-mail your release directly to the personal email in-boxes of book reviewers and editors in print, radio, television, trades, E-zines, syndicates, and wires locally, regionally and nationwide.

Our distribution circuit consists of over 21,000 national media contacts. Applicable trade publications selected for your subject are included free of charge. Editors have opted-in and given us appropriate addresses to e-mail the respective releases to.

The PR Publicist will send you a list of the confirmed recipients who opened/read your press release.

These are not cold calls. The editors and writers receiving your press release and our phone calls have agreed to receive applicable press releases and therefore value the information and the follow-up phone call, which we perform for you.

We will send you every single media lead that results from your publicist campaign. Usually they are in the form of a review copy request. The PR Publicist will also send you a recommended cover letter to use when following-up on each lead. You may use it exactly, or alter it as you see fit.

Ricky Pierce, the former Rice University star, retired from the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 1998. He took with him 14,467 points, shooting 49.3 percent from the floor and 88.5 percent from the foul line during his 16-year NBA career. He was the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year in 1987 and 1990 and an All-Star in 1991. Pierce has always been fascinated with the way children learn. Having three children of his own, he quickly came to understand the importance of reading to children and the great impact that a book can have on a child. While playing in the NBA, Pierce had the opportunity to visit many schools and children's hospitals, where reading was a big part of the visit. Those experiences inspired him to write Bouncing Billy and make a positive difference in the lives of children. Pierce resides in Texas with his wife, Joyce, formerly of the multi-Grammy award-winning group, The 5th Dimension, along with their three children, Christian, Rachel, and Aron.
 

 

* If you want a copy of your press release, purchase the Custom Press Release service first, otherwise the release will just be sent to the media. If using the Standard Press Release, please ensure your author webpage is free of any spelling or grammatical errors, as the standard press release will use much of that information verbatim.


PR Publicist Campaign Agreement

1. Author understands that the PR Publicist will use one of two possible press releases: a) The Custom Press Release (if available) that the author purchased through our Custom Press Release Option or b) the standard press release drafted solely by Outskirts Press. 

2. Author understands that if author requires input on the content of the press release, said content should be incorporated into the author's webpage by the author prior to ordering the PR Publicist agreement or said content can be incorporated into the Custom Press release during that process.

3. Author understands that the Standard Press Release distributed by the PR Publicist uses the information supplied by the author in the author's webpage verbatim, including any typographical, grammatical, or punctuation errors. Author understands it is the author's responsibility to review all supplied information.

4. Author understands that all press releases need to supply a Geographic Location, and that location is extracted from the city and state information provided by the author in their author profile.

5. Author understands they will not receive a copy of the press release being distributed with the PR publicist campaign.

6. The Outskirts Press PR Publicist will distribute the author's press release to  our distribution circuit of over 21,000 national media contacts plus applicable trade journals related to author's press release. Outskirts Press will place a select number of phone calls to follow-up on the release wtih key editors and reviewers.

7. Outskirts Press will supply author will a list of the confirmed recipients who opened/read the press release. Author understands this list will not contain contact information.

8. Outskirts Press will forward every media lead that results from the distribution of the release directly to the author's email address available in the author's center.  The PR Publicist will provide a recommended draft letter for the author to use while following-up with each lead. It is the author's responsibility to follow up with each lead once said lead is provided to the author by the PR Publicist.  Contact information will be supplied to the author for each lead.

9. Author understands that the number of leads and the length of receiving leads varies by release and cannot be guaranteed. The media's interest in the release will depend upon the content of the release, the topic of the book, the time of year, other news-related stories going on at the time, and other intangible variables.

10. Outskirts Press will register author for an electronic clipping service, compliments of Google, under the author's book title. Author will receive Google Alerts notifying author of up-to-the-minute mentions of said Book Title throughout the Internet. This clipping service will continue unless cancelled by the Author or Google.

11. Author understands that the PR Publicist Campaign is limited to the distribution of a single press release and distribution of any resulting leads from that press release. The PR Publicist Campaign does not involve on-going, personal publicity assistance ad infinitum. Once the media's interest in the press release has waned, so too, most likely, will the media leads.

12. The PR Publicist  Campaign  fee becomes non-refundable once ordered.
