Iôn is a member of the Zallma tribe—or what is left of it—and his mission is clear: to rescue his father and keep the tribe’s priceless Lightning Gems out of enemy hands. The Zallmanians are peaceful farmers who know no sickness, no disease. The source of their health and longevity comes from the Lightning Gems, brought to them hundreds of years ago by Iôn’s great grandfather. The gems are a treasured secret the tribe desperately wants to protect. But Iôn’s father has been captured by Povidone, along with the majority of the Zallmanians, and it is up to Iôn to save them. First, he must bring together the other tribes of Idelwild to confront their most powerful enemy, and together with his best friend, Beefy—and with the help of some of the strange creatures of the Idelwild region—Iôn finds himself on the journey of a lifetime.
