The Louisiana Delta is a maze of water and weeds where alligators and other dangers lurk. The people there are just like you and me... Well not all of them. Forgotten in a hustle to mobilize for war, The Louisiana delta got washed over in the flood of KATRINA. F.E.M.A. funding went to the least needy, restoring the downtown hotel district and paying for the planting of palm trees along the commercial main streets. The real people of New Orleans who were displaced and and left jobless have never truly returned. Outside of the city there was widespread flooding. The lower delta was the hardest hit yet there was never any news of that devastation. Way out on the end of the delta near Grand Isle a little known event changed the lives of everyone in a little town just south of Golden Meadow. 
Mark James Chappell just stumbled across this story while on a trip to New Orleans. The deeper he dug the more the facts came to the surface. Nobody wants you to know about October 30th, 2007, but you should know. People need to know!
