Let’s all make a pact not to attend one more hospital room gathering, church service, or gravesite and say, “I wish I had known or done more.” Let’s work together and change the lives of those who are needlessly and without provocation hurting because of others. No man is an island and no bully is invincible. Stand strong, and be of good courage: things can, will, and must change.

Velma Hart is a respected association professional who has worked in several capacities for a wide variety of nonprofit organizations over her 25-year career.
