Product description...

"The Way You See Yourself Is How Others See You"

This book expresses feelings felt by myself or others around me. Writing for me has always been an outlet of my emotions to deal with different trials that come my way. The poems in this book demonstrate the different types of highs and lows in relationships and the beauty of loving and being loved in return; from being a confident woman to the ups and downs of friendships and everything in between. Through my writing you will be able to relate to any poem or can familiarize yourself with the situation expressed through the poems. I hope this book brings you as much pleasure as I received from writing it.

Author Information...

When I sit back and reflect on the significant events in my past, the important aspects of my current life, and my goals, I appreciate what life was, is and will be. I was born in Springfield, Ohio and raised in Nashville, TN by my mother. I attended Metro Davidson County Schools. I attended Lane College and graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice. August of 2015, I will be graduating from Bethel University with a Masters in Conflict Resolution. I am proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. I enjoy being a Metro Nashville Police Officer since May of 2001. Being the first black female Negotiator for my department gives me great pleasure in knowing I have opened the door for others to follow. I am blessed and take pride in being a God fearing woman, a great mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. In my spare time, I enjoy teaching dance from several different genres. I am blessed that the Lord has given me my family that I cherish, my career and my future. I look forward to what else God has in store for me.
