"I strongly encourage all women to become involved within their communities and to create meaningful political dialogue. Every issue and aspect of politics effects women, and as women's influence in government and politics continue to grow our country stands to gain from that involvement." - U.S. Representative, Eddie Bernice Johnson, Texas.

"With women having voted at higher rates than men in every presidential election since 1980, we are finally recognizing women as the most powerful sub-segment of the US electorate. All of us would be well-advised to listen more to what women have to say about what matters to them when going to the polls and choosing their leaders." - Jeanne Haws, Associate Dean, Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University

"It is critically important to support the engagement of women in the political process and dialogue. Too many important voices and too many important issues are not heard. The contributors to this book are raising issues that are important for all members of our democracy to consider." - Governor Christine Gregoire, Washington State.

Statesmanship, a commitment to freedom and democracy, requires a commitment to hearing what has meaning in every voice (particularly those with whom we disagree) and engaging in meaningful, transformative dialogue.

- Contributor from Kansas

"My dream is for Americans to be courageous, individually and as a nation. It takes courage to defend your country, no matter on which side of a war you fight. "

Contributor from Texas

"My priority or dream for America rests in the hands of discerning leadership. Discerning leaders will not be pushed to snap decisions based on limited perspective. "

- Contributor from Illinois

"My dreams and priorities for the United States start with children. They are the future. Children are the most precious resource in our society. "

- Contributor from Alaska
