He never imagined that going up into the mountains of the Dominican Republic to interview a Taino behique about the old native culture, would turn his world upside down. But when he returns to Santo Domingo, the flames of the Dominican revolution have engulfed their hotel villa, his wife can not be found, and he has to rescue the students. He must learn to harness his new powers, so he can find her, while also protecting his grandson from evil forces.The clues to who kidnapped Daniella, are in the pouches with the needles. Which eye of the needle holds the answer, and who will help Dr. Domo?

 

About the Author

M.R. Rodriguez

Michael Rene’ Rodriguez was born on the 31st of December, 1957 in New York City. He grew up in Washington Heights, sang in the church choir at the Broadway Methodist Temple, and attended the Bronx High School of Science. His family was from Puerto Rico. His father, William, was from Ponce, and he fathered twelve children. Michael’s mother, Melquiades, was from a small mountain village, Moca, where he would spend time as a child on the family farm. Lucrecia, his grandmother, and the other women in the family would tell stories about the Taino indians that lived there a long time ago, and how it was in their bloodline. Everywhere he travels, he searches for the remnants of the past inhabitants, left behind for the new souls that follow in their footsteps. He resides in Winter Springs, FL, where he take his 3-mile walks everyday, and enjoys his garden.
