The Baby Guide No Expectant Parent Should be Without

With a Foreword by Dr. Dean Ornish

Babies aren't born with instruction manuals. Luckily for us, there are Angela's Checklists, jam-packed with tried-and-true recommendations for keeping your baby safe, happy, and healthy during the all-important first three months. Developed by a cerified post-partum doula and baby nurse from parents'most frequently asked questions, these Checklists compile the sound, practical information that new moms and dads need to know before and after childbirth. In comforting, concise prose, Angela's Baby Wisdom tells you: ...how to protect your baby during pregnancy ...how to prepare the home for Baby ...what should go into every nursery ...exactly which things Mom should bring to the hospital ...tips on burping, bathing, and diapering ...ways to calm and soothe your baby - and yourself ...pitfalls to avoid when breastfeeding (from food intake to breast-milk storage) ...what Dad needs, too ...how to adapt to parenthood ...how to travel with Baby ...when to call your doctor ...crucial information on post-partum depression and SIDS. Whether the new baby is your first or fifth, Angela's Baby Wisdom will help you avoid those unpleasant "nobody-ever-told-me" experiences, and let you enjoy fully the most exciting and rewarding advenure of life - raising your baby!

About the Author

Angela Williams

Angela has been a registered nurse for most of her life. With a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Anthropology, and a master's in Counseling Psychology, she has drawn on her nursing background as a family counselor, a visiting and hospice nurse and nurse and volunteer educator to present this book to new parents. Williams is a certified post-partum doula and baby nurse in the San Francisco Bay area, where she lives near four of her five children, and is the adoring grandmother - and first baby nurse - to her dozen grandkids (and Lucas!) as well as the grateful friend of so many parents and babies she's had the joy of working for.
